The Challenge
When a major 24/7 hospital needed to replace over 700 hospitality devices, downtime was not an option. From patient-room Samsung TVs to digital signage and information displays, every device played a key role in patient comfort, communication, and operational flow. Print-IQ was tasked with completing this large-scale upgrade within a very short project window, while keeping the hospital fully operational throughout the process.
The project required precise coordination, technical skill, and rapid execution. Our team worked closely with hospital facilities management and IT to schedule phased replacements, ensuring patient areas, wards, and common spaces never lost display functionality. Technicians operated in rotating shifts, uninstalling old units, mounting new Samsung TVs, integrating them with existing systems, and testing them on the spot — often completing entire ward upgrades in under an hour.
The results exceeded expectations. All 700+ hospitality devices were successfully installed ahead of schedule, with zero disruption to patient care or hospital communications. By blending speed, expertise, and meticulous planning, Print-IQ delivered one of the fastest, most complex hospitality device rollouts in the hospital’s history — setting a new standard for large-scale technology upgrades in critical environments.
What did we do
From the very start, success depended on flawless coordination. Print-IQ assembled a dedicated project team comprising logistics planners, technical specialists, and onsite coordinators. Detailed schedules were mapped out down to the hour, factoring in patient rest times, ward rounds, and departmental activities. This ensured every step of the upgrade process respected the hospital’s 24/7 care routines and minimised intrusion into critical spaces.
Pre-planning was key to maintaining speed without sacrificing quality. All Samsung hospitality devices were pre-configured, tested, and labeled offsite before arriving at the hospital. This allowed our technicians to perform quick, efficient swaps, cutting installation time dramatically and reducing the risk of compatibility issues. Every mounting bracket, cable, and connection was prepared in advance, so the focus onsite could remain on precision execution rather than troubleshooting.
Workmanship was never compromised, even under tight deadlines. Our installers took meticulous care to ensure each TV and display was securely mounted, perfectly aligned, and seamlessly integrated with existing control systems. Every device underwent a final quality inspection and functionality test before being signed off, guaranteeing that each installation not only met the hospital’s operational standards but also delivered a polished, professional finish that reflected Print-IQ’s commitment to excellence.
